Zephyr Moving and Storage

Hired them in 2016 for a local move. Experience was decent. Hired them again for a move from GA to Tampa. After loading our items in 2 different rental moving trucks the crew left and were scheduled to deliver our entire house the next day by noon. The next day at 10am Dana Potts aka Dana Mata called us stating Michael Potts and 3 crew members were arrested in South Ga for drugs, warrants and driving without a license. The 2 trucks were seized by the police and towed. I had to pay $600 to have the trucks released to us after fighting with Uhaul and Penske to have the trucks re-rented to us. Which I had to pay for after paying Zephyr $2400 already upfront. We had to make 2 separate trips from Tampa to S. GA and pay another set of movers to unload our items. I was completely unaware that they used some random person to rent the trucks because Michael Potts, the owner was on a "no rent" list because he owed balances to uhaul. My entire house was on these trucks along with family photos and my dead mother's ashes. This experience has permanently negatively affected my family. Financial and emotionally. I hope Michael can sleep at night knowing the stress that he directly caused to my family. Even with all the drama of the arrest when the items were coming off the truck multiple things were damaged including my son's brand new bedroom set, so new I'm still making payments on it. Today I looked up Michael Potts in Cobb county and he was bonded out and of course he hasn't even had the decency to contact us. This guy needs Jesus and to find some morals. He needs to learn to take ownership and make it right. I plan out outting him to anyone who will listen. I'm contacting the police and an attorney to see if there is any recourse we can take against him. Michael if you read this. Make it right. The truth will set you free.

The owner, Michael Potts, lied, mislead, and broke our furniture and damaged the hardwood floors at both old and new homes. After the move we met to go over the damages and we both agreed and shook hands to a compensation of $600. Now two months later, I have not been paid. He will not return any of my many calls, emails or voice mails. I could not be more disappointed and I regret hiring this company. We gave Mr. Potts every opportunity to make things right and he failed. Our several attempts to get our compensation have been ignored. As far as the job itself, well that was just as bad. The workers showed up an hour late and stayed almost three hours past the quoted time. Many smoke breaks, phone breaks and constant horsing around- very unprofessional. We would have overlooked some of these issues had they done the right thing and compensated us as they agreed to for our damages. We understand that things happen during moves, but when the owner himself agrees to make it right and then doesn’t after two months and several attempts on our end, we felt it was our responsibility to let everyone know you are not dealing with professionalism here, you are dealing with liars. Take your business elsewhere or you will regret it.

If you want a move that is hassle free and as stress LESS as possible, talk to Zephyr.  In my case, I packed everything and they did the actual move.  I had express concerns over the handling of my antique furniture and was assured that care would be a major concern of theirs as well.  While no one babys the furniture the way I do, they did an excellent job of protecting and handling all the pieces. While taking care of my "stuff" Mike and the guys performed this move with surprising speed.  From start to finish only took only 7.5 hours.  This shows that even while handling the furniture, etc. carefully, the guys worked HARD.  There was no time spent lounging around and trying to look busy - they WERE busy!  The best part of this experience was that it was cost effective.  While talking with Mike, I learned we shared a common belief.  If you treat the customer/client fairly and honestly, you can have a successful business.  Not all his profit was made on my move.  Treating everyone with this same approach promotes happy clients!

Michael Potts was very professional and attentive to my needs regarding my move. Larry 1, Larry 2 and Jordan were great. They did such a wonderful job. They were fast and efficient but very careful with my items. I had 2 teenagers with me to help them but they didn't need our help, because they had it under control. They were very friendly and respectful. I would most definitely refer them to others and will use them again in the future.

If you're thinking about hiring this company, then you can clearly see that they have excellent reviews, and Zephyr will most certainly meet your expectations. They were, from the very beginning, the perfect combination of courteous, kind, professional, and simply just good at what they do. Being in Atlanta, where there are many choices for movers, I feel so lucky my wife and I stumbled upon Zephyr.

My wife and I used Zephyr to move out of our apartment and load a trailer and the backs of our cars. We hired two men for 2 hours to help us move down two flights of stairs with several large pieces. The two men, as well as Mike Walker, were extremely nice, but also very focused on getting the job done. We were amazed at how much they were able to move in a short amount of time, but they also were able to safely arrange far more furniture on the trailer than we had anticipated. Long story short, they were professional from the very beginning (very nice on the phone and quick to respond to hiring request) and also very good at what they do. I wish everyone ran there business this way.

We used Zephyr to move some heavy items in our home, from room to room and into a basement. They were courteous, on time, accommodating to my "please move it a little bit to the right" requests, and very friendly. I would definitely use them again as my "go to" movers. My husband has had three back surgeries, and the times of us moving our own stuff has long gone. It is important for us to know where t turn for help.

There are no words to express how wonderful my experience was from start to finish. Larry and Jordan are so friendly and professional. My son kept trying to help but spent more time in their way and they were so sweet to him, even gave him fist bumps throughout the day. They did not seem bothered at all by him which was extremely kind.
They were overall just wonderful guys who worked efficiently and tried to look out for my best interest in moving. They were careful with my belongings and even joked around.
Aside from being U of M and Ohio State (jk) fans they were great guys and hopefully they will be around to help on my next move! I highly recommend this company and these two guys (Jordan and Larry) specifically!

We used Zephyr moving and storage this weekend to have all of our furniture moved from our house into a storage container. As this was the first time we have really moved, we decided it was time to hire professionals. We were thrilled with the professionalism, honesty, and speed of Zephyr. We really could not be happier with their service and will be using them again in a month to move into our new house. Do not hesitate to hire Zephyr for your next move. You will not be disappointed!

After my wife and I sanded our floors and re-painted the house, Zephyr moved the furniture back in. My wife and I were more than a little anxious. Large pieces of furniture and high steps were involved. But my fears were for naught. Walker and his crew did not scrape a single door, ding a single piece of furniture, nor scuff the new floor. They had the equipment, the expertise, and the concern to do the job right. Plus, they were all such nice guys. I have nothing but praise for all of them. If - God forbid - my wife and I ever sand and paint again, I will not look around for any other mover. I would go straight to Zephyr and Mike Walker.

Let me start this review saying that I don't think I've ever worked with a company that is so excellent, professional, and full of integrity as Zephyr Moving. I first used them back in January when I needed to move houses. I hadn't forgotten to book a truck and started to get upset and Walker, the man who runs the company, helped me problem solve a way to get my stuff to the house without a truck. I used them again when I had to move out of this same house in a pinch (bad housing situation, long story) and they were able to accommodate me and my crazy requests no problem. They are punctual and incredibly friendly and go above and behind the call of duty of a moving company. I cannot recommend them highly enough and if you haven't used them to move your stuff, then you are missing out! Thanks Zephyr moving for being one of the best run companies I've ever encountered.

I hired Zephyr Moving to help me unload my car when I moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I worked with Walker and the service he provided was professional and efficient. He was very accommodating when I arrived early; he was able to meet me ahead of our scheduled time. Although the original appointment had been for two people, it wasn't necessary and Walker was able to quickly move all of my things up to the apartment himself. He was very responsive to communication and was prepared with a dolly when he arrived. The entire process from scheduling to delivery was easy and smooth. I am very satisfied with the service I received and wouldn't hesitate to use their services for future moves. .

I've moved several times and this is the BEST company I have ever used! They were friendly and professional! Although there was a delay due to traffic which was unavoidable, they made sure to let me know and kept me posted on their status! They were careful loading and unloading all of my belongings. Nothing was broken or damaged! The pricing for the move was affordable and reasonable compared to the overpriced big name movers. Overall, they were great movers and I will definitely, without a doubt, use them the next time I move! I highly recommend Zephyr moving company!

Mike Walker and his crew helped me out in a bind. My previous mover cancelled on me 2 days before I was to move. Mike took on my move without hesitation and on the day that I needed it. Moving is stressful enough but having to find a mover on short notice was the worst scenario. But thank goodness for a referral from an acquaintance that steered me to Zephyr. I had called them before I knew my closing date but had not made arrangements with them. The crew was great too. Larry was funny and the other 2 guys were too. They worked hard and it even rained while we were unloading. They kept going. They were friendly and polite. They even helped me decide where to place my bedroom furniture. I will refer anyone to them if they ask me. I can not say thank you enough for helping me out in such a short notice. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART !!

Zephyr was, luckily, available on the day we needed them and they were great! Very responsible, on time, careful with things, hardworking, friendly and fast - no breakage. We highly recommend them. We also enjoyed talking to Michael and Walker about their forward thinking business -- they are hoping to sometime incorporate more recycling, donating and trash removal services alongside the moving services. It may take them awhile to figure all that out, but they are a company that really cares about their business practices, their employees, a personal touch, and about saving the earth!
